Kevin Petersen’s smashing hits with an unbeaten 73 takes England to surmount against Pakistan during their Twenty20 Cricket World Cup match in Bridgetown on Thursday.

Pakistan 147/9 (20/20 overs) — (Salman Butt 34, Umar Akmal 30; Michael Yardy 2/19, Stuart Broad 2/25, Ryan Sidebottom 2/28).

England 151/4 (19.3/20 overs)– (Kevin Pietersen 70 not out, Michael Lumb 25, Craig Kieswetter 25; Saeed Ajmal 2/15).

England moves on a slower pace as Pieterson in partnership with Captain Paul Collingwood (16) – the duo put forth 60 in third wickets.

All in all, pietersen stitched 52 balls that includes two sixes and eight fours and gave a finishing score on board for 151/4.

However, England chase the victory won with 3 balls to spare in a match as their star batsman ended with a boundary, off Ajmal.

Though, Pakistan was playing pretty well at the initial stage, but didn’t last longer as they lost three wickets for six runs and further on they collapsed from 71/1  to 77/4  with the hard-hitting Afridi run out in first ball.S

oon, both the teams will be back in action here on Saturday as Pakistan is going to face New Zealand whereas England to play with South Africa.
