England beat Sri Lanka by seven wickets
England crushed Sri Lanka by seven – wickets in the first semi final – World Cup Twenty20 match here on Thursday at Beausejour Stadium, St Lucia.
It’s a comprehensive victory for England, as the England team made the day after restricting to their opponents to 128 for six – and then knocked off with insufficient total of about four overs to spare.
The duo’s Craig Kieswetter and Michael Lumb partnership blow the wings of their team-mates after putting an impressive opening of 68 for England to reach the final. While Kevin Pietersen, gave a stunning performance by fulfilling the rest unbeaten 42 runs.
Kieswetter was in particularly fluent form and crashed two sixes and five fours in his 39 from 29 balls before he was bowled by a fuller ball from Lasith Malinga.
England will soon be playing with any one of these two Australia or Pakistan in the final match, which will be taking place on this coming Sunday.
