Pakistan beat South Africa by 11 runs

Pakistan conquered South Africa by 11 runs in a Group E Super Eights match of the World Twenty20 at Beausejour Stadium, St. Lucia on Monday.

Man of the Match: Umar Akmal

Chasing a modest 148 run target, South Africa managed to procure 137 for seven in 20 overs and fail to overcome their victory against Pakistan.

Though, Pakistan gave an impressive innings with 148 for seven in 20 overs.The Pakistan player Umar Akmal and Shahid Afridi with a slow start managed to gave a superb hits 148-7 in the last over.

However, Pakistan player – Akmal said, “I would like to thank god and also my parents. I just went out there and played positive cricket. The conditions were very good to bat and the ball was coming onto the bat really well.” he added.

Both teams have made one change in their teams. Pakistan brought in Khalid Latif in place of Mohammad Sami whereas South Africa replaced Morne Morkel with Roelof van der Merwe.
