Sri Lanka beat India by five wickets in a World Twenty20 Super Eights match here on Tuesday in Gros Islet, St Lucia.

Sri Lanka gave a trilling shot by posting an impressive 163 for five in 20 over to book their place in the semi final berth.
Opting to bat first India did not create an impact as they manage to score only 163 for five on board. Initially, India was playing pretty well as the score were moving swiftly on scoreboard with 90 for one in 10 overs.
Though, Suresh Raina took 63 runs off 47 ball whereas Gautma Gambhir managed to secure 41 run scores.
Man of the Match – Angelo Mathews posted an impressive innings (46) in partnership with his skipper Kumar Sangakkara who aslo(46) to bind a valubale 56-run for the fourth wicket.
However, Sri lanka’s player ” Mathews says “I had to give a good performance with the bat,”I’m glad I did it at the right time.” he added
“You never want to lose guys early, especially Mahela, who is in top form,” Sangakkara said.
